This place was a great addition to Union square. It has excellent coffee, a wonderful vibe with their decor and outdoor space, and great sandwiches and pastries. I usually get a breakfast sandwich here. One complaint I have is that their staff and options have already become a bit chain-esque. They don't allow much customization and one of the staff got annoyed that I was standing and watching them cook at the pick up window. Easily fixed issues though.
Their regular coffes is great. But the single brew is outstanding. Warning...if They are busy this might take some time, but we'll worth it.
The coffee is excellent. It is usually a busy place. I have not tried the food but it looks good. it is fun to sit in the safe on a winter's day if you bring a few friends.
Liked this place. Great summer lunch spot out on their patio. My sandwich was really quite good and the sandwich filling combos are interesting. Staff were very friendly. It's expensive for what it is (I think I paid $18 for a lower tier sandwich, pop and cookie), they forgot part of my order (fixed it, though, without hassle once I asked), and it took quite a long time to get the order (I think maybe they were understaffed that day?). On the whole, I'd go back if someone suggested it, but it's not good for a quick bite, based on my experience and that of other reviewers.
Pro tip...get yourself some donuts across the street and your coffee here...yum.
Fun place. Yummy food, nice staff, lots of seating. Not a huge fan of the iced chai, but everything else was good.
