Very clean, decent access in/out building, lots of carts and a huge elevator. The building is equipped with security access and cameras. Interior temperature is constant and no humidity. They've changed ownership a few times over the past five years, but aside from creating new online accounts, the transitions are smooth. The only downside to this storage facility is accessing the location. After turning into the pothole-filled parking lot, you have to drive down the side of the building that is alongside McGrath Highway. This is a one lane driveway. I drove a sedan and felt it to be a bit tight, so I can only imagine how difficult it would be to drive down with a moving truck.
This might resolve itself eventually, but be forewarned - you pay a premium price here and the new management has not shown initiative either to communicate with tenants or take needed steps to make sure essential systems are maintained.
Very clean well run storage. Reasonable prices too. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Tracey at the front desk is very helpful and considerate. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
The facility recently went through a merger and they have been saying it will be fixed shortly and sorry for the inconvenience but Clearly the new ownership group has no intent on fixing it. A year is plenty of time to fix anything.
Life storage has been horrible since they took over for uncle bobs. They freight elevator hasn't worked in over 8 months and there is no way to haul heavy/wide items downstairs unless you use the narrow staircase. It makes it impossible to transport items. The company hasn't offered a discount nor any other incentives to please customers. I assume the excuse is the city of Boston ISD inspector won't sign off on their elevator inspection card. Now Life Storage's negligence is causing more time/money for their customers. I'd recommend going elsewhere until they clean up this mess or change back to Uncle bobs.
Tenants on the 2nd and 3rd floor are completely out of luck if their items cannot fit in the small passenger elevator in the rear of the building. To add insult to injury, the passenger elevator had an expired inspection plate for several weeks.
As a long term renter, I have been with this location since it was "Uncle Bob's" storage.

The problem is the freight elevator, which has been down for over 8 months with no word from management on when repairs will occur.
The elevator has been out of commission for nearly a year. Envision your belongings stored somewhere within a very large 4 floor warehouse and now you have to carry things from you storage unit to your car one box at a time because the elevator is in-operable. Essentially your things completely inaccessible.
