I'm honestly surprised by the good reviews here. I came in looking for a small bird friend, choosing between a cockatiel or parakeet, and it was clear the owner didn't know what he was talking about after asking a few basic questions. I seriously question how he cares for the birds after passing through the shop for the last few weeks (it's on my walk to work), as the birds seem bored, lonely, and not properly attended to with a consistent schedule. It seemed like he was trying to pressure me into a quick purchase, and in general I don't trust anyone whose first thing they say about their animals is the price tag.

Classic owner-operated format. Decent aquarium stock selection and a knowledgeable proprietor. Poor source for live bloodworms

Knowledgable spot! Lots of animals and supplies

Place could use a remodel, being said very knowledgeable owner and good selection of fish as well as ability to order specialty fish and items. Good hidden treasure!

This place is either paying people to leave positive reviews, or their satisfied customers are blind and clueless. The store is atrocious. The bird cages are caked in poop, and the plexiglass on the rodent enclosures looks like it hasn't been clean since the day it was installed. There was one enclosure with four or five baby hamsters and two adults. One adult had long matted fur and kept attacking the babies and pinning them down. There was no one in sight to report this to. Merchandise is covered in dust and cobwebs, and worst of all is the smell. Any facility that houses or cares for animals, no matter how sanitary, will have a fairly distinct pet odor, but the stench of this place is like hitting a wall. These animals are not properly cared for and are clearly only receiving the bare minimum. I wouldn't even shop here with someone else's money.
